Not gonna lie, I was a part time hijabi at one point in my life because I was forced to wear it when I wasn’t ready. It’s not like I could tell my mom “Well, I don’t want to wear it..” cause she wouldn’t have any of that. It was her way or the highway, literally.

I felt kinda guilty about it…but if my mom actually gave me time and let me make my own decisions I probably would have worn it sooner. The more you force your child to do something they don’t want to do the more they’ll hate it.
